A Plague of Rovents

Reading the news today I was reminded of a thought that first occurred to me at a local town hall meeting in WV with Congresswoman Shelley Moore Capito in February, one of many such meetings across the country that seemed to be part of an organized effort to promote Bush administration disinformation on Social Security. 

While watching the activities of some Young Republican hirelings from out-of-state who were passing out misleading information as though they were part of Ms Capito's entourage, I couldn't help thinking that these poor kids were part of a plague of Rovents spreading across the land, carrying mind-crippling  germs of disinformation spawned by the man who has been called Bush's Brain but more aptly named "Turdblossom" by President Bush.

As I was reading more about Nathan Sproul I thought he seems to be a well rewarded Rovent.  Scott McClellan has certainly been trying to be a good  Rovent, but appears more like a drowned Rovent these days.  Robert Novak seems to have avoided the Rovent trap for now, but Judith Miller has been snared. 

Now a horde of Rovents can be heard scurrying about the right wing echo chamber in an effort to save their Turdblossom - or at least get off his ship before it sinks.
