Outer ‘service hatch’ to chickland. Despite solid walls and no discernible crack bigger than about 1/4″ around either hatch, something got in, killed the mother hen, and ate 2 (possibly 3) chicks. Next step is to replace the top of chickland with solid boards as it is currently a piece of vinyl flooring over a lath of wood strips – maybe demon weasels can squeeze though one of the back corners, though both corners seem to be tightly stuffed with hay)
